Data we collect

If you send the enquiry form we collect the details you enter, which may include client type, services required, business name, industry, turnover band, employee count, your name, email address, phone number and any message. If you email, call or message us we also process the information you choose to send on those channels.

We do not currently run advertising pixels or analytics packages on this site. Server and hosting logs may still record technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, as part of operating and securing the website.

How we use data

We use enquiry data to respond to you, to understand the work you may need, and, if we take you on as a client, to set up an engagement. The lawful bases we rely on are steps prior to a contract, legitimate interests in running and securing the practice, and legal obligation where tax or accounting law requires us to keep records.

Processors and sharing

Website enquiries are sent through Web3Forms so that the message reaches our inbox. Our website is hosted on Amazon Web Services. We do not sell your data. We share it only with processors who help us run the practice, or where the law requires it.

Retention

Unsuccessful enquiries are kept only as long as needed to complete the conversation and any follow-up, then deleted or archived according to our internal retention practice. Client records are kept for the periods required by UK tax and professional rules.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, corrections, erasure, restriction, or to object to processing, and you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact info@bowkeraccountants.com to make a request.
